The Tanzanian Women's Association is a voluntary, non-governmental, not for profit organization of Tanzanian women living in the United States of America. It advocates for the improvement of the status of women, girls and children in the home country of Tanzania, to promote lifelong education and enable women to use their expertise to effect change.

TWA (former known as TUWA) seeks to support and help empower Tanzanian women through the promotion of education and lifelong learning. TWA effort is to raise funds that can be used to provide aid in critical areas such as   school and medical supplies for Tanzanian women and children.

Wito kwa wakina mama na dada wa kitanzania: Tuhamasishe wenzetu kujiunga na jumuia yetu ili kuboresha maisha yetu kwa kusaidia pale tutakapoweza. Hakuna mchango ambao ni mdogo; lazima tuonyeshe juhudi za kusaidia kwa kushiriki katika shughuli za kujitolea popote inapowezekana. Lengo la TWA ni kuhamasisha watu wote kupitia wanawake kwa sababu ya majukumu tuliyo nayo ndani ya nyumba zetu. Kuna msemo usemao: Unapomfundisha Mwanamke – Unafundisha Jamii Nzima! Kwa hiyo tujitahidi kama walivyojitahidi mama zetu na vizazi kabla yetu!
