Dear friends:
This letter comes from the hearts of all the TUWA-USA members to thank you for your very kind contributions, time and involvement in our fundraiser. Your generosity will make an immediate difference in the lives of women and children in Tanzania.
We are excited to tell you that we are going to use your gift to fund our project, ‘Project- DESKS’. Your generosity is going to help us buy desks and provide them to deserving, under-privileged students in Tanzania. As you know education is the foundation of economic development and empowerment and we are pleased and thankful for your involvement in making this possible for children in Tanzania.
You can read about this exciting initiative—and your important part in it—in the upcoming issue of our newsletter, which we will post on our website www.tuwausa.org in the coming month.
Thank you again for your kindness and generosity,

Our dear fellow Tanzanians, supporters and friends,
On behalf of all TUWA-USA members, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your unflagging support, hard work and contributions towards our second fundraising event. This letter comes from the hearts of all the TUWA-USA members the U.S. chapter of the Tanzanian’s Women Graduate Federation (TWGF) to thank you for your very kind contributions, time and involvement. It is because of supporters like you with similar goals for our nation and your generosity that makes a difference in alleviating hardships that are currently facing students in Tanzania.
You can rest assured that you have enabled students who did not have desks to study on, be able to study better because of it. We are excited to tell you that we collected $1587 from ticket sales and our auction held on our 2nd fundraising event on September 20, 2008. Your generosity is going to help us buy approximately 31 desks that will be to Amani Primary School located in Ilala District, Mabibo Ward, Kanuni Street in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Many people may think that one person can not make a dent in the social-economical development in our nation, but as we work together towards a common vision, we will see our vision unfold. You build a house one brick at a time. This is our country, our people, our blood and every one of you can continue to be active towards facilitating a better lifestyle for our children.
Ladies, if you have the same vision as us, I encourage you to sign up for membership. Whether you are available once a week or once a year, please join us and lets help empower our nation, our children, our future, so that it will no longer be a vision, but a way of life for the people of our nation. For non-eligible members and gentlemen, please volunteer your time, and be an advocate for this movement. Every one of us are privileged in one way or the other; therefore, bring your expertise, experience, wisdom and knowledge so that we can pass these blessings to the generations to come. With factors affecting our nation’s development such as ‘brain-drain’, it is time we gave back to our community so that everything that you have accomplished will not just end with you, but will be replicated indefinitely and carried through the children of our nation.
You can read about this exciting initiative—and your important part in it—in our newsletter, which is on our website www.tuwausa.org . Please contact one of our TUWA-USA members with any suggestions, questions or advise. We are eagerly waiting to hear from you.
And again, please accept our sincere thanks for all that you have done.
